Privacy, Support, and Terms
Effective date: July 7, 2026
The official product, privacy, support, and terms page for the Ad Blocker for YouTube browser extension.
Product
Ad Blocker for YouTube is a Chrome extension that blocks, hides, and skips YouTube advertisements locally in the browser.
Premium access is a one-time purchase of $1 for a 1-year license. Each license can be used on up to 2 devices.
After purchase, Dodo Payments sends a license key by email. The user enters the license key in the Chrome extension to activate Premium. If both device activations are already used, the user can deactivate an old device from the Extension popup or contact support for help.
Payments, taxes, checkout, license delivery, and payment details are handled by Dodo Payments as the merchant of record/reseller. The product creator and support contact is Jeyakarthick, India; Google, YouTube, and the Chrome Web Store do not sell or support this Premium license.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information the "Ad Blocker for YouTube" browser extension ("the Extension") collects and how it is used. We keep data collection to the minimum required to run the Extension, provide ad blocking, and operate the paid license system.
Information the Extension handles
- License key — if you purchase Premium, the license key you enter is stored locally on your device and sent to our payment provider to activate and verify your license.
- License activation instance — when you activate Premium, our payment provider creates an activation instance ID so your license can be limited to the allowed number of devices and deactivated from this device later.
- Local installation identifier — a random ID is generated and stored on your device to label this browser installation during license activation. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
- Trial start marker — the Extension may store a local trial-start timestamp in browser extension storage and YouTube page local storage to prevent trial abuse after reinstallation. This value is used only to calculate trial eligibility and is not sent to us or used for advertising or tracking.
- Local usage counters — the number of ads blocked and estimated time saved are stored only on your device to display in the popup. This data is never transmitted anywhere.
- YouTube page signals — the Extension reads and modifies YouTube page elements and ad-related network requests locally in your browser so it can block, hide, or skip ads. The videos you watch and page contents are not sent to us.
The Extension itself does not collect your name, email, full browsing history, or the videos you watch. If you purchase Premium, Dodo Payments may collect payment, billing, and contact information during checkout and may provide limited purchase/customer details for order, licensing, refund, tax, fraud prevention, and support purposes.
How data is stored
License and usage data is stored on your own device using the browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). We do not operate our own analytics or tracking server for the Extension.
Who data is shared with
To operate paid licensing and checkout, purchase and license data is processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. The Extension sends license activation, validation, and deactivation requests directly from your browser to Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments handles that data under its own privacy policy at https://dodopayments.com/privacy-policy. We do not sell, rent, or share Extension user data with advertising companies, data brokers, or other third parties.
Limited use
We use Extension data only to provide and improve the Extension's user-facing functionality, including ad blocking, license activation, license validation, support, refunds, fraud prevention, and security. We do not use or transfer Extension data for advertising, behavioral profiling, creditworthiness, or unrelated purposes.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Ad blocking
The Extension blocks and skips advertisements on YouTube by filtering ad-related network requests and modifying the page in your browser. This processing happens locally on your device; the content of the pages you visit is not sent to us.
Data removal
You can remove local Extension data by uninstalling the Extension from your browser. You may also deactivate your license from the Extension popup. For purchase records, refunds, license-related deletion requests, or Dodo Payments data requests, contact us at the email below.

Terms and Refund Policy
These terms explain the purchase and use of Premium access for the Ad Blocker for YouTube browser extension. Dodo Payments handles checkout as the merchant of record/reseller. The Extension is created and supported by Jeyakarthick, India. Google, YouTube, and the Chrome Web Store are not responsible for purchases, licenses, refunds, or support.
Premium access
Premium access unlocks continued ad blocking after the free trial period. Premium is sold as a one-time $1 purchase for a 1-year license that can be activated on up to 2 devices.
License key
After purchase, a license key is delivered to the email address used at checkout. You are responsible for keeping the license key private. Sharing, reselling, or publicly posting a license key is not allowed and may result in deactivation.
After the 1-year license period ends, Premium access may stop working. To continue using Premium, you can purchase a new license from the Extension popup.
Refund Policy
Premium access is a one-time digital license purchase. Sales are generally final after the license key is delivered and activated, except where required by law, Dodo Payments rules, or payment network rules.
If your license key is not delivered, cannot be activated, or the Extension does not work as described after reasonable troubleshooting, contact support within 7 days of purchase. We will help resolve the issue within 24 hours to 7 days. If we cannot resolve the issue during that period, a refund may be provided and Premium access may be revoked.
